Consul General Manish was honored to take part in Vaisakhi 2024 celebrations at Khalsa Diwan Society (KDS) Gurdwara, Vancouver. He conveyed his greetings on the occasion & highlighted the role played by KDS Gurdwara since 1906 in serving the communities social, religious & cultural needs.

Consul General Manish celebrated Vishu 2024 with community members from Kerala. The programme included Vishu Sadya, Kani Kaanal, Kaineettam, and Carnatic music representing the Kerala cultural heritage.

Consul General Manish celebrated the joyous occasion of Ugadi with the Vancouver Area Telugu Association. Consul General greeted the community members & congratulated the new board members. A vibrant Cultural program food & music was part of the celebrations.

CG Manish was privileged and honored to attend an event hosted by the Veteran Officers Club in Surrey on 13 April 2024  led by Maj Gen ( Retd) Harwant Krishan to celebrate Siachen Day & launch of the Veteran Officers Club in British Columbia.

 

Consul General Manish paid floral tributes to Dr B. R. Ambedkar on his 133rd birth Anniversary in a ceremony held today in Surrey,. Community members from Guru Ravidass Sabha, Chetna Association & BC MLAs Hon. Bruce Ralston and Hon. Jinny Sims graced the event to celebrate “Day of Equality”. Speaking on the occasion, Consul General recalled the life & contribution of Babasaheb. The Government of BC led by Lt. Gen Hon. Janet Austin and Attorney General Niki Sharma issued a proclamation declaring 14 April as “Dr B R Ambedkar Day of Equality". Surrey Mayor Brenda Locke also issued a similar proclamation.

 

Consul General Manish joined the official launch of the Indo-Pacific Foundation of Canada on 11 April. He conveyed his greetings and best wishes to the Foundation for its objective of engaging people, culture and business across nations.

The event was attended by a large number of members of BC India Business Network ( BC-IBN) , who is a partner organization of Indo-Pacific Foundation of Canada. Consul General handed over the lifetime achievement award to Mr. Vivek Savkur, founder of BC-IBN.

 

 

In an event hosted by World Trade Center Vancouver today, Consul General made detailed presentation on   “Exploring Opportunities in India” laying out the current state of the Indian economy, policy reforms and sectoral opportunities. He also identified key sectors for BC companies to work with India and outlined the opportunities in the Fin-tech space in IFSC GIFT City in Gujarat. The event was attended by members of WTC Vancouver and was moderated by Ms. Joyce Tang, Director, World Trade Center Vancouver.
